Anastasia is the granddaughter of Antonio Luccessi, founder of Armatech-Luccessi international, and co-founder of Militech. Apparently, she inherited the love for weapons her grandfather had, although not it's design and manufacture but its use. Attracted by the idea of working for the company her grandfather helped to found, she moved to the United States at the age of seventeen, leaving a father that wasn’t very happy with this decision behind. Because, we need a trope here. A father is never going to be amused with their children making a living out of violence! Antonio expected her to become an executive, so he secured for her a space in the Militech Special Operations training school, believing that the combat training would help her protect herself in the corporate world full of sharks of the Dark Future. The corporate world in Cyberpunk is more or less like living in a constant black operation where you need to constantly watch your back and your biggest enemies are the people that smile and pretend they are your friends.
Not to mention that, as I always say: people below you would kill you for your position and people above you would kill you to protect their position, and we're not kidding about the killing, so learning basics on Special Operations only to be capable of surviving your coworkers is a thing. So, she attended the Special Operations Training school and she enjoyed it very much, she enjoyed the combat training so much that she decided to make a career out of special operations and, oh, she was good at it. She was a special ops natural, so she soon became one of Militech’s most dangerous agents. She was merciless and adept at several forms of combat, an expert in infiltrations, extractions, espionage, and assassination missions for the corporation, and her loyalty for Militech is above question. During the 20s she was seen around Militech’s office and design facilities, the Special Ops School, and the Special Projects facilities where she has clearance as a security expert.
The Shadow war marked a new stage in her career, as she was placed under the direction of the Solo Morgan Blackhand. While special operations Director William Harris was still handling the campaign against Arasaka on a managerial level, Morgan was the “hands-on”, or “black hands-on” commander. Though not officially part of Morgan’s team, because black operations, she was his right hand. She took this opportunity to learn everything she could about her master and absorb his techniques and tactics but, she was also in charge of removing him shall Blackhand threaten the campaign in any way. Which is a delicate and quite dangerous matter. I don’t think she ever came to realize Blackhand was a double agent who reported directly to President Elisabeth Kress about what Militech was doing, but in late 2022, Militech was nationalized by the government of the States, so probably, in the end, it didn't make any difference at all.
During the Time of the Red, the nationalized Militech increased the assets of the US Army, which helped president Kress maintain her state of Emergency, even though this nationalization wasn't a strict control, more a "keeping on a short leash", and some Militech officials were offered lucrative positions in the reformed Department of Defense, we don't know if Anastassia Luccessi was one of them, we'll have to wait for the pen and paper game Cyberpunk Red to be out to find out more about. She would be 82 and is the current CEO of Militech in 2077.
