ollowing the Best of Gamescom Awards Show Livestream Today, Cyberpunk 2077 was able to take home more awards than any other games this year from Gamescom. Honestly, I don't recall any other games recieving more than one award for. Bravo to everyone at CD Projekt Red, its truly awesome to see the beauty of all that passion and hard work paying off :)
If you're curious as to why Cyberpunk 2077 received awards before the launch of the actual game on November 19th, Most Gamescom Awards typically aren't based around games that have been released (With the exception the "Ongoing Game" category) They're typically nominated if said game has been previewed by industry members or shown enough to make a solid judgement. The Jury that handled these awards also contained several Industry members that had their hands on the game earlier this year when Previews were dished out to Journalists and certain Influencers.
