losing in on the final lore bits from CDPR on Twitter, We get a look at the Badlands today. The rugged Mad Max inspired homeland of the Nomads & Wraiths Gang.
Sparsely populated by Nomads, the Badlands are the vast plains outside of the city proper. Unchecked resource extraction, burning oil fields, rampant pollution; this district makes Night City feel like a rich oasis. But it holds golden opportunities for those in the know.
Petrochem is also very active in this particular area outside the city. Their Oil Fields are miles long, sapping up the scarce remaining natural resources from the dying world in 2077. It's also home to the Wraiths. Who are Raffen Shiv, which are rogue Nomads. They travels mostly at night and prey on the weak and exposed. Their leader goes by the name "Dogkiller". Nomads are notorious for wearing flesh-sealed clothing made from... you bet, human flesh. Ah yes, Nothing like a Hot cup of Coffee and the smell of putting on a fresh, Human Flesh jacket.
The Aldecaldos Nomad Family also resides out in the Badlands. They were considered the first Nomad family to form. Johnny Silverhand actually disappeared out into the badlands at one point and hid with the Aldecaldos for almost two years straight. Expect much more of them when we're able to dive into Night City on November 19th.
