las! We're finally given Official PC System Specs for Cyberpunk 2077. This was earlier announced at the very end of Night City Wire Episode 3. Up Next We'll be taking a look at Comparisons between the NCW Ep.3 Footage vs 2018 Gameplay Reveal in Part 5 later today.
CD Projekt Red also has a Support Page open for Cyberpunk 2077 which goes further in depth what these specs are aimed for available here.
A few things to note..
- Minimum System Requirements are Recommended for 1080p LOW Settings
- Recommended System Requirements are Recommended for 1080p HIGH (Not Ultra) Settings
- It is not confirmed rather these recommendations are meant for 30FPS or 60FPS Averages, If I had to assume I would put my money on the 30FPS Mark for low (Without DLSS Enabled on Nvidia GPU's) and 60FPS for High (Without DLSS Enabled on Nvidia GPU's)
One thing that definitely had caught me off guard - 70GB of Storage Requirement, While it is only a Single Player title I most definitely was expecting it more towards the 100GB Storage Mark. How this may effect the end quality result of LOD Texture Quality for Far distance assets is unknown among other possible explanations for the storage size of the game (Which of course, advanced and efficient compression methods are a very common thing in modern day game development)
Seeing at how massive the Game World is with no loading screens there is no doubt that there are probably sacrifices that had to be made due to the fact that they have to consider the original Xbox and Playstation Consoles. It is also worth noting that they have been working on optimization every step of the way.
There will be many in-depth analysis articles being done on NETRUNNER 2077 when comparing different visual quality presets, asset quality and so on after release to break down the differences.
Further more, If you're curious about how your system is going to run if you've picked up a Ray Tracing capable GPU recently, Marcin gave a response on twitter letting us know that closer to release we should see more information on the matter.
NETRUNNER 2077 will shortly begin writing guides for Low, Medium, and High Tier recommended hardware if you're looking to get the most out of Night City within your budget range, so stay tuned for that in the coming weeks.
